Our teachers are a group of professional educators who are passionate about instilling their love for learning to our students. They are gifted with patience, knowledge and the ability to empower children to be their best selves. Our teachers are from many different countries and are global citizens themselves. They are committed to education and are always upgrading their professional skills.

Our management team comes from an international school background with many years of collective experience in international schools all over the world. Their knowledge is vast and they have a passion for creating a dynamic school environment that allows teachers and students to reach their full potential.

Jasmine Hung - Principal

Jasmine graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Studies and Leadership from Wheelock College and completed a summer immersion programme in Boston, Massachusetts. She started working in the early childhood field since 2005 when she pursued her Diploma in Early Childhood from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Jasmine is passionate about making a contribution to the lives of young children and strongly believes that teachers can create incredible moments to bring out the best in every child. Together with strong home-school partnership, she works closely with the teachers to help children reach their full potential and capacity.

Celine Soon - Principal

Celine Soon - Principal

Celine’s experience in the Early Childhood industry spans over a period of 12 years. She has taught children aged between 3 to 6 years old, both in local and international schools within Singapore. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Childhood & Family Education from Edith Cowan University, Australia and also a Diploma in Preschool Education (Teaching & Leadership). Celine practices the pedagogy of hands-on inquiry based learning throughout her teaching career and she has witnessed how it helped nurture creative thinkers and has encouraged children to be problem solvers. Most importantly, in the early years, Celine believes it is essential to create a happy, safe and secure learning environment for children. A positive home-school partnership is definitely a necessity for continuation of learning at home.

Nurul Fitton - Principal

Nurul has worked as an Early Childhood Educator and Leader for 25 years.  Her strength lies in her understanding of the Singapore curriculum and helping teachers to ensure all learning goals are met.  Being a mother herself of 3 children in the local school system she understands the importance of preparing children for their future learning journey in an appropriate way. Much of her career was spent working in a Montessori school where she learned the importance of ‘hands on learning’. She is not only a strong Educator but has held leadership roles as well, including her role as Principal for 8 years at a local Montessori Childcare center. She studied Early Childhood Education and graduated from Wheelock College, Boston MA. Her strength as a teacher mentor and leader, paired with her understanding of best practices in local settings and Montessori training is of great benefit to our Schools and our children benefit from the knowledge and experience that she brings.

Abby Longmire - Academic Director

Abby has worked internationally for 10 years. She began her career in Australia and from there worked in Egypt, Kuwait, Canada and Singapore. She is originally from Canada but calls Singapore her home. She spends much of her time learning about new practices in education and how to best support child growth and development. Before her career as a teacher, Abby also worked as a Chef in Canada. She graduated from The Culinary Institute of Canada. Food and health is important to Abby. She believes strongly in helping children to want to make good food choices for their health and teaching children to cook. Abby has worked in various international schools. Prior to coming to the Schoolhouse team, Abby worked as a curriculum coordinator at the Canadian International School. She helped to lead many teachers and developed curriculum for the kindergarten. Abby’s goal is simple, to help children love learning and help teachers to provide opportunities to instill this love of learning.
